Rebuilding a dynasty roster isn't just about collecting rookie picks. The goal is to acquire young players whose current market value has room to grow, and Jonathan Brooks, Rome Odunze, Chris Bell and Brian Thomas Jr. all fit that profile entering 2026.

Some come with injury concerns. Others are coming off disappointing seasons. That's exactly why the buying window exists.

Jonathan Brooks Is Still a Buy

We mentioned Jonathan Brooks as a contender target last week, but he makes just as much sense for rebuilding teams.

The injuries have delayed his NFL career, but Brooks is still young and the training camp reports have been encouraging. More importantly, the traits we liked on his college film appear to be returning: acceleration, the ability to plant and get north-south quickly, and legitimate receiving ability.

His current price isn't dirt cheap, but it could become much more expensive if he starts looking like the player we originally evaluated.

For rebuilders, you're buying the talent before the production catches up.

Rome Odunze Is a Post-Hype Dynasty Buy

Rome Odunze has slipped to around WR22 in the dynasty market after injuries slowed what started as a promising season.

We're still buying.

When healthy, Odunze showed the same traits that made him an elite prospect: strong ball skills, red-zone ability and the ability to win at the catch point. His role also doesn't have to conflict with Luther Burden. Odunze can become Chicago's bigger downfield and touchdown threat while Burden wins in different areas.

With DJ Moore gone and Caleb Williams entering another year in Ben Johnson's offense, the opportunity is there.

The current price reflects last year's disappointment more than Odunze's actual talent.

Chris Bell Is Exactly What Rebuilders Should Target

Few players fit this exercise better than Chris Bell.

Bell is currently valued around WR58 while recovering from injury. That's the discount.

The upside comes from his combination of athleticism, size and opportunity in Miami. When healthy, we believe he's the most talented receiver on the roster and has a realistic path toward becoming its top wideout.

His injury is also already baked into his price.

For a contender, waiting on Bell may be difficult. For a rebuilder?

That's exactly what you want.

Buy the injured young player before health and opportunity push his value higher.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Is the High-Risk, High-Reward Bet

Marvin Harrison Jr. is probably the most volatile player on this list.

The positive case is still rooted in the film. Drops weren't a major issue in college, and the receiving talent that made him an elite prospect hasn't simply disappeared. Despite inconsistent quarterback play, he was still earning a meaningful target share before injuries became an issue.

If Harrison finally puts everything together, his dynasty value could jump quickly.

The problem is value insulation.

Another disappointing season could send his price in the opposite direction.

For aggressive rebuilders, he's a legitimate upside swing. Just understand that this isn't a safe investment.

Brian Thomas Jr. Can Rebuild His Dynasty Value Quickly

After his rookie season, Brian Thomas Jr. looked like one of dynasty's most valuable young receivers.

One disappointing year later, he's around WR26.

That's the opportunity.

Thomas wasn't a polished route runner coming out of college, but he made major progress as a rookie. Last season brought drops, inconsistency and a significant step backward, potentially impacted by playing through injury.

Now the reports coming from Jacksonville suggest he's healthy and looking much closer to the dominant athlete we saw before.

If Thomas reconnects with Trevor Lawrence and improves the frustrating parts of his 2025 film, WR26 could prove to be a major discount.

Don't Forget Jalen Coker

The cheaper target from the episode is Jalen Coker, currently valued around WR53.

Coker isn't an elite athlete, but he's a technically sound receiver with strong ball skills and a diverse route tree. His ability to win on slants, curls, digs and posts gives him multiple ways to earn targets.

With Carolina's receiving depth taking a hit, Coker has a clear path to the WR2 role alongside Tetairoa McMillan.

At his current cost, he doesn't need to become a star.

He just needs to earn consistent targets for his dynasty value to rise.

Final Dynasty Takeaway

The best rebuilding trades aren't always for draft picks.

Sometimes the biggest value gains come from buying talented young players after the market becomes impatient.
