Recliner Rating:

RELEASE/ROUTE RUNNING

Bell possesses a great release package, bringing significant physicality to defeat press corners. However, stiff hips prevent him from sinking effectively at the route stem, limiting sharpness on in-breaking/out-breaking routes and comebacks. He still manages to win through sheer physicality, though he rarely creates yards of separation. He excels against zone coverage and on drags, deep crossers, and posts, where his elite linear athleticism generates space vertically.

PHYSICALITY

Bell is a physically dominant receiver who maximizes every bit of his 220-pound frame to bully smaller cornerbacks. He excels with violent hand usage at the release and throughout routes, maintaining leverage and fighting through contact with an edge.

YARDS AFTER CATCH

Bell generates meaningful YAC through his burst and physicality, capable of turning slants or drags into house calls. He wins post-catch with speed and power rather than elusiveness. College usage did not frequently scheme touches to maximize this aspect of his game, leaving some untapped potential on film.

ATHLETICISM

Bell is an elite linear athlete. His straight-line speed and acceleration are exceptional, allowing him to erase cushions quickly and access a true fifth gear downfield. Stiff hips, however, severely restrict lateral agility and change-of-direction quickness.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Bell will need an offensive coordinator who understands how to scheme around his hip stiffness and route limitations while leaning into his linear speed and physicality. He profiles as a solid WR2/3 rather than a target-commanding WR1. Coming off a late-season ACL tear, his rookie season is likely to function as a redshirt year, which will suppress his draft stock relative to his long-term potential.

BALL SKILLS

Bell is a reliable hands catcher with strong ball-tracking skills and solid body control to adjust to throws in flight. For a 6’2”, 220-pound receiver, his contested-catch ability is good but falls short of dominant—he wins enough but does not consistently impose his size in traffic.

IDEAL TEAM FITS

Bell would benefit from going to a team that has a QB and offensive coordinator that like to attack deep down the field as he is one of the best deep threats in the draft.
