RELEASE/ROUTE RUNNING

Daniels operates with a fairly basic release package but is effective using head fakes and leverage to win early. He snaps off routes cleanly and consistently creates separation at the stem. He shows versatility by lining up across the formation and handles contact well throughout routes. As games progress, he flashes growing nuance with tempo and pacing, suggesting some upside.

PHYSICALITY

Daniels could stand to increase his play strength, but he plays with a competitive edge, using his hands well to fight through coverage. He is also a willing and capable run blocker, showing toughness and effort in that phase of the game.

YARDS AFTER CATCH

He can make defenders miss with subtle movements like jukes and sidesteps, but lacks the top-end explosiveness to turn plays into long touchdowns. He shows some physicality after the catch but doesn’t have the power to consistently run through defenders. Overall, this area of his game is average at best.

ATHLETICISM

Daniels shows good short-area quickness, which helps at the release and at the top of routes. His long speed is decent but not a standout trait, and his overall burst is average. He can separate with technique but doesn’t consistently pull away from defenders with pure athleticism.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Daniels projects as a reliable, well-rounded receiver who wins with technique, consistency, and competitiveness. While he lacks elite athletic traits, his ability to create separation and finish plays gives him a solid foundation to contribute, particularly as a dependable possession-style target. It is worth noting that he spent 6 years in college and will be an older prospect. He's well worth a dart throw in the 3rd round of your rookie drafts.

BALL SKILLS

He offers very solid hands and consistently finishes catches. His use of late hands helps him create separation at the catch point, especially on contested throws. His tape features a number of truly spectacular catches. His body control, ball tracking, hand strength, and concentration through contact are quite impressive.
