Recliner Rating:

RELEASE/ROUTE RUNNING

Coleman was just average in this area. He rarely faced press coverage and was often given free releases. When pressed, he struggled to create separation due to limited quickness. Coleman tends to round his routes and lacks a diverse route tree, but he shows a strong understanding of zone coverage and knows how to settle into soft spots.

PHYSICALITY

Coleman is somewhat limited in this area, largely due to his size. When defenders were able to get their hands on him, it disrupted his timing and routes, leading to difficulty fighting through contact and creating separation. This appears to be more a matter of size than technique.

YARDS AFTER CATCH

Coleman is dangerous with the ball in his hands. He has a natural feel for creating after the catch and the athleticism to generate explosive plays. While he doesn’t consistently show physicality in his route running, he displays surprising strength when finishing runs with power.

ATHLETICISM

Coleman is a high-level athlete with exceptional burst off the line of scrimmage and the ability to accelerate to top speed quickly. He has the speed to challenge defenses vertically and the burst to beat defenders downfield, which helps explain why he was often not pressed at the line.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Coleman graded out at a 68.83, placing him in the range of backup with starter upside. While there are clear limitations to his frame and significant areas for improvement in his route development, Coleman shows legitimate athletic promise. With the right team fit and coaching, there is a realistic path for him to develop into a productive player at the next level.

BALL SKILLS

Coleman shows reliable hands and strong body control, allowing him to adjust to passes thrown behind him or outside his frame. He also displays elite ability as a contested-catch receiver, consistently securing the ball in traffic. However, his catch radius is a weakness, as he is constrained by his frame and often allows the ball to come into his body rather than extending for it.

IDEAL TEAM FITS

Coleman's idea fit would be with a team that could utilize him in space, creating mismatches for him without asking him to be their primary receiver.
