Recliner Rating:

VISION/PATIENCE

Hemby’s vision is inconsistent, resulting in a subpar grade from us. On some plays he correctly identifies holes or opportunities to bounce outside, but on others he misses them entirely. He lacks creativity or the ability to manipulate defenders, showing little feel for creating on his own. His patience is solid, however, which allows him to consistently take what is blocked for him.

POWER/CONTACT BALANCE

Hemby has good size and can convert speed to power effectively. He is an upright runner but compensates with solid leg drive. His contact balance is subpar, as he is rarely able to stay on his feet and continue runs after initial contact.

3RD DOWN SKILLSET

This was a relative strength for Hemby. He was consistent and reliable in pass protection. While he lacks the quickness to be a true receiving weapon, he showed reliable hands even when defenders were draped over him.

ATHLETICISM

Hemby’s athleticism is subpar by NFL standards and will likely hold him back at the next level. He lacks the quickness and burst necessary to exploit holes that close quickly in the pros. His top-end speed is close to adequate once he reaches full stride, but overall movement skills remain limited.

FANTASY OUTLOOK

Hemby is a player we do not view as worth owning in most dynasty formats. As a runner, he can get what is blocked for him but rarely creates more. Combined with his athletic limitations, he projects as a bottom-of-the-roster or special-teams player at the NFL level.

ELUSIVENESS

Hemby is a tight-hipped runner who lacks any kind of elusiveness. In one-on-one situations he defaults to just running straight into the defender. He lacks the athleticism and creativeness to make defenders miss.

IDEAL TEAM FITS

Hemby's best path to success is on a team with a weaker runningback rotation and a solid o-line where he does not have to create much on his own.
