KC Concepcion Scouting Report: The 2026 Draft's Most Electric WR? (Ep. 118)

Is KC Concepcion a "gadget guy" or a legitimate NFL alpha? After transferring from NC State to Texas A&M, Concepcion proved he can win at all three levels of the field, racking up 919 yards and 9 touchdowns in 2025. In this episode, we dive into the All-22 film to answer the biggest question in Dynasty: Does his elite separation outweigh his frustrating drop issues?

Scouting Report Highlights

1. The Route Running is Elite Concepcion isn't just fast; he is a technician. We charted him with a 2.46 Yards Per Route Run (YPRR), placing him in the top 20% of the FBS. His ability to marry his feet with his hands at the line of scrimmage allows him to beat press coverage consistently—something rare for a 5'11" receiver. Whether it's snapping off a whip route or stacking a DB on a vertical, he creates separation at will.

2. The Hands are a Concern The film reveals a recurring technique issue: he lets the ball get into his body. With a 10.3% drop rate (one of the highest among top prospects), he struggles to pluck the ball away from his frame. While he showed surprising toughness in contested catch situations (66% win rate), the concentration drops on easy throws are the biggest risk in his profile.

3. Electric After the Catch This is where the "Gadget" label comes from, but he is so much more. Concepcion forced 15 missed tackles in 2025 and averaged over 15 yards per catch. He doesn't just run away from people; he sets up blocks and navigates traffic like a running back. If he gets the ball in space, he is a threat to score from anywhere.

The Verdict We grade KC Concepcion as a First Round NFL Talent. His floor is a volume-heavy separator like Diontae Johnson, but his ceiling looks a lot like prime Stefon Diggs.
