Jadarian Price boasts undeniable burst and top-tier second-level vision, but his upright running style and lack of elite tackle-breaking ability have the CouchScouts crew divided on his NFL translation. Is he the next TreVeyon Henderson, or a contact-averse back who simply benefited from gaping holes at Notre Dame?

Elite Second-Level Vision
Vision is comfortably Price's standout trait. The crew handed out stellar film grades here, with Cooper and Rupert both scoring his vision at an 8, and Jackson close behind at a 7.5. Price is a decisive one-cut runner who thrives on reading blocks, manipulating linebackers, and identifying cutback lanes. He shows the positional intelligence to operate in both zone and gap schemes, having logged 67 attempts in zone and 45 in gap at Notre Dame. However, it is worth noting that he was running behind an elite offensive line that ranked 7th out of 136 FBS teams in run blocking.
Explosiveness Over Elusiveness
Price isn't going to break ankles in a phone booth with a wide repertoire of jukes and dead legs. Instead, he forces missed tackles primarily through raw acceleration and a subtle hesitation move that freezes defensive backs. He earned a 7 for elusiveness from both Cooper and Rupert, backed by a strong 118.6 PFF elusiveness rating and 32 forced missed tackles on just over 100 carries (28%). Much like TreVeyon Henderson, he leverages his explosive 4.49 speed and fluid hips to change his vector without necessarily making a sharp cut.
The Power Problem
When it comes to the physical aspects of the position, Price leaves a lot to be desired. At 5'11" and 203 pounds, he runs with an upright pad level—earning a dismal grade of 4 from Cooper and a 6 from Jackson. The panel agreed he prefers to run away from defenders rather than through them, resulting in below-average grades (5 to 5.5) for physicality and power. While his contact balance earned a respectable 7 across the board—allowing him to run through some arm tackles when he has a full head of steam—he frequently goes down too easily on first contact to be relied upon as a grinder or red-zone asset.
The Verdict
Jadarian Price is an explosive, one-cut runner with exceptional vision and burst, but his upright running style, limited receiving profile, and lack of functional power cap his dynasty ceiling as a home-run hitting committee back rather than a true workhorse.
